Between 2018 and 2024, the majority of U.S. Amazon Prime Video consumers preferred to watch original TV programs, peaking in the third quarters of 2020 and 2023 at 33 percent of people interviewed in a survey. With Amazon Prime Video now also offering live sports programming such as “Thursday Night Football,” 11 percent of respondents stated to enjoy watching this kind of programming on the provider.
