According to a late 2023 survey, 34 percent of Gen Z adults preferred watching shows that have already finished airing, while 22 percent preferred shows with new seasons coming. Notably, 31 percent of Gen Xers preferred shows that have finished airing just as much as shows with new seasons coming. In general, 30 percent of all U.S. adults wished to watch completed shows and 29 percent shows with new seasons.
