At the end of the competitive season of 2024, Inverary and District were crowned the Champion of Champions as best pipe band among Grade 1 bands, with a total of 21 championship points. Inverary, under Pipe Major Stuart Liddell, placed first in the World Championships in Glasgow in August 2024. The Grade 1 Champion of Champions title for best drum corps also went to Inverary. The Champion of Champions title is determined by total points gathered from performances at the Scottish, British, European, UK and World championships throughout the piping competition season, which begins in May and runs through October.
