Ideal posting frequency per day on social video platforms 2024, by account size

During the first quarter of 2024, TikTok content creators had a higher recommended posting frequency than other platforms. Huge TikTok accounts, which counted over 50,000 followers, had an ideal daily posting frequency of one video. In comparison, short videos hosted on Instagram as Reels had a recommended posting frequency of 0.55 videos per day for accounts of the same size. While TikTok recorded the highest number of average views among all short video platforms (1466343), TikTok content creators were recommended to post more often than creators hosting their videos on other platforms and in-app features.
