In 2022, around 27 percent of Canadians aged between 18 and 34 years were considered heavy alcohol drinkers, a significant increase from the previous year. Males who consumed five or more drinks, or females who consumed four or more drinks, on one occasion at least once a month in the past year were considered heavy alcohol drinkers.
