Opposition to abortion legalization U.S. 2023, by state

According to a survey done in the U.S. in December 2023, approximately three in ten Americans were in opposition to the legalization of abortion in all or most cases. North Dakota, South Dakota, Arkansas, Idaho, and Utah were the leading five states where more than 50 percent of residents were in opposition to abortion rights. In general, residents in U.S. states projected to be Republican in the 2024 Election were more likely to oppose abortion legalization.
