AI incidents have grown by over 30 percent from 2022, up to 123 ethical incidents in 2023. This is based on the AI incident database (AIID) which tracks instances of ethical misuse of AI.

The survey was administered to census-targeted samples of over 1,000 people in each of 21 countries, for a total of 23,882 surveys conducted in 12 languages.
