As of December 2023, 55 percent of American and 51 percent of European consumers, respectively, reported they were most likely to receive recommendations of new content from friends or family. Similarly, 49 percent of U.S. viewers and 46 percent of viewers from Europe stated to lean to social media when looking for new content to watch.
