In 2023, there was a 34 percent increase in games launching on three or more platforms, totaling 44,411 multiplatform releases. In 2022, the number of such multiplatform releases amounted to 33,192. Multiplatform releases enable game studios to reach more potential players but also bear significant risks and complexity in development.
