According to a survey conducted in July 2023, over half of the respondents in India preferred secondary-level medical facilities run by the government for the treatment of minor ailments. Meanwhile, about 44 percent of the participants opted for private hospitals. However, five percent of the respondents sought traditional healers/quacks for minor illnesses.
