A review of advertisements aired in India in October 2023 revealed that 86 percent of ads portrayed females aged 20-39, while about 62 percent depicted males in the same age group. Additionally, 58 percent of ads featured female characters with lighter skin tones, compared to 25 percent of ads with male characters.
