Solar PV developers are making the greatest strides toward meeting 2030 NZE scenario targets. Considering all projects announced as of 2023, solar PV capacity could exceed the NZE target by 30 percentage points. Meanwhile, wind farm developers have been hampered by higher interest rates, with a significant gap identified between project size and necessary deployment. However, the share of already operational projects was roughly equal for solar and wind, at slightly less than one third.
