In 2023, over 60 percent of internet users in Brazil younger than 24 years said they had watched videos from digital influencers, compared to less than seven percent of those aged over 60 years. Overall, 38 percent of responding online population claimed watching this type of content, which has seen an upward trend in the last 4 measured years. Social media usage is the third most popular internet activity in Brazil, with around 80 percent of the country's online citizens claiming to access these platforms.
