According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in March 2024, about 52 percent of respondents aged 55 years or older stated that the main reason for not using shared mobility services in South Korea was because they preferred using their own vehicles. Most of the respondents aged between 16 and 34 years did not use such services because they were more expensive than public transport.
