In 2020, around seven out of ten hearing care professionals from the National Health Service in the United Kingdom perceived limited equipment for conducting assessments remotely and the limited scope for hearing aids to be programmed or adjusted remotely as extreme or moderate barriers to the delivery of telehealth. Meanwhile, 11 percent of the surveyed audiologists viewed their own lack of confidence as a potential barrier.
