Among the energy-related infrastructure projects in Latin America and the Caribbean is the expansion of the electricity grid. In 2022, the region planned to add over 1.8 gigawatts to its electricity interconnections. The largest project, between the power grids of Peru and Ecuador, will add 600 megawatts to the existing interconnection.
