In a 2023 survey conducted among Australian consumers regarding their fashion purchasing habits, around four in 10 respondents indicated that they value sustainability in fashion. Over 70 percent of those surveyed reported donating unwanted fashion items to second-hand shops. Nonetheless, several consumers across the country cited difficulties finding sustainable fashion brands and felt there were not enough sustainable fashion brands in the Australian market.
