According to a 2023 survey conducted in Australia regarding fashion purchasing, around 74 percent of respondents indicated they were willing to pay more for Australian-made fashion. Of this 74 percent, 37.5 percent of respondents indicated they would be willing to pay one to 10 percent more for Australian-made fashion items. Nonetheless, around 26 percent of those surveyed said they were unwilling to pay more for fashion items made in Australia.
