Utah Valley University followed closely behind, with a shortage of 28,141 beds, while the University of Central Florida had a shortfall of 27,664 beds. Among the 20 universities with the highest student housing shortage, the University of California (Santa Barbara) came last, with a deficit of 12,358 beds.
