Data from a survey held in the United States in late 2023 found that the share of Latino adults who follow the news all or most of the time decreased from 31 percent in August 2020 to 22 percent in November 2023. Whilst spikes in news consumption were fairly usual in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which could account for the higher level of engagement that year, the drop between 2022 and 2023 was also noticeable at six percentage points.
