2023 saw a reduction in both investment value and volume by State-Owned Investors (SOIs). 2021 saw the highest volume of deals in a five-year period, reaching almost 900 investment deals performed by both Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs) and Public Pension Funds (PPFs). While 2022 did have a decrease in the volume of investments executed, the value of these investments reached a high of roughly 264 billion U.S. dollars.
