Usage rate of in-store prepaid QR code payments in Japan 2023, by age and gender

According to a survey conducted in Japan in October 2023, prepaid QR code payment usage for online shopping was highest among women aged 18 to 29 years. Over 67 percent of women aged 18 to 29 years had used a QR code payment service before, compared to around 59 percent of men in the same age group.
