Cumulative GHG emissions of state-owned companies worldwide 2016-2022
Saudi Aramco was the state-owned company with the highest total GHG emissions produced between 2016 and 2022, with 13.2 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (GtCO₂e). Gazprom followed, with more than 10 GtCO₂e emitted during the same time frame. In total, these 10 state-owned entities emitted more than 65 GtCO₂e between 2016 and 2022.
