According to a 2023 survey conducted in Australia regarding consumer views on the state of the economy, environment, and society, the economy was the leading cause of concern across all generations, apart from Gen Z. Millennials were the most concerned about the economy, at around 80 percent of the generational cohort. Gen Z's primary concern, on the other hand, was the state of the environment, with 77 percent of Gen Z respondents expressing a high level of concern.
