According to a survey conducted between April and September 2023, male overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) based in Europe had the highest average cash remittances sent to the Philippines, amounting to 181,000 Philippine pesos. This was higher than the average cash remittances sent by male OFWs globally. The average amount of remittances sent by female OFWs were significantly lower than their male counterparts.
