Assets held by Euro area investment funds by the end of 2022 were totaling 15.9 trillion euros. With respective values of 5.8 trillion euros and 5.6 trillion euros, debt securities and shares and other equities were the two largest asset types in their portfolios. Listed shares represented around 4.6 trillion euros in the shares and other equity category.
