In a survey conducted in March 2024 among Indian respondents, a cumulative of 50 percent believed that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's arrest was driven by political motives than his involvement in corruption scam with over 32 percent believing that it is a result of Modi's vindictive policy against his opponents. However, almost 40 percent respondents believed that the arrest was rightful due to Kejriwal's involvement in corruption.
