As a matter of fact, over 45 percent of those with low education levels experienced one or more chronic illnesses. Respondents received the following questions for the self-reported depression evaluation: "Do you/Does your child suffer from one or more chronic illnesses or disorders?" Chronic is (in anticipation) 6 months or longer.
1. Low: Includes primary education, intermediate preparatory vocational education (vmbo), level 1 of secondary vocational education (mbo-1), and junior years of secondary education (avo onderbouw).
2. Intermediate: Senior general secondary education (havo), pre-university education (vwo), and secondary vocational education (mbo).
3. High: Higher vocational education (hbo), academic education including bachelor's and master's degrees (wo), and doctoral studies.
