Between 2018 and 2020, the Berlin-based neobank, N26, increased its customer base at a rapid pace. In January 2021, the bank hit the milestone of seven million customers, up from five million a year before that. The growth slowed down in the next period but remained consistently high. In 2023, N26 announced eight million customers, and if the bank continues its current trend, its customer base is estimated to exceed 8.3 million by the end of 2024.
