Coal production volume in Turkey 2010-2022, by type

The total volume of coal produced in Turkey amounted to nearly 84 billion metric tons in 2022. Under the observed period, lignite had by far the highest production volume each year, reaching almost 81 billion metric tons in 2022. In the same year, sub-bituminous coal production totaled 1.62 billion metric tons.
