Get in touch with us nowThe Producer Price Index (PPI) measures the changes of prices for the industrial output of economic activities considering domestic and non-domestic markets. In Italy, the PPI constantly soared from January 2021 and peaked at the end of the year, reaching over 140 points after a stable pattern throughout 2020. In 2023, a gradual decrease started, but prices for producers remained decisively higher in 2024 compared to 2020. The augmentation of prices on the Italian market of electricity and gas supplies were the main cause of the PPI's growth.
