Share of television broadcast by FTA channels in Portugal 2023, by broadcast genre

In 2023, Portuguese free-to-air (FTA) channels' broadcast was mostly occupied by entertainment content, which occupied 34 percent of the broadcasting time. Information content was the second most frequent, controlling almost 20 percent of the time. General culture, on the other hand, was present on FTA channels just 14 percent of the broadcasting period during the year.
