Other benefits included reduced IT help desk calls and tickets, reduced password resets, and improved user experience, all mentioned by more than 40 percent of respondents. FIDO refers to an open standard for passwordless authentication that allows users to sign and access their resources without a username or password by using an external security key or a platform key built into a device.
