In the first half of 2023, there was a surprising disparity between the content offered and what people actually watched on Netflix. While Japanese-language content had the highest share of titles at 9.9 percent, Korean content took the leadership when it came to viewer engagement. Korean captured 8.6 percent of total viewing hours, surpassing Spanish content with 8.3 percent in terms of audience preference.
