In 2022, 15 percent of Danish survey respondents stated that they consumed more than three cups of coffee every day. The share of respondents that drank this amount has decreased since 2010. It stabilized at 15 percent in 2016.

The survey was conducted through Coop Analyze's Mad-o-Meter. It compares consumer surveys, sales figures from stores, and informal interviews. Overall, the Mad-o-Meter database has collected more than 100,000 surveys. 500 informants are selected weekly by Coop Analyze to describe what they have consumed within 24 hours.Â
