Through 2022 and 2023, inflation rates rose worldwide as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. This also had an impact on millionaires worldwide, with over 22.7 million millionaires in the United States when using a nominal U.S. dollar, but 21.5 when adjusting for inflation.
