Online betting frequency among sports bettors globally 2023, by market

In a December 2023 survey, it was found that 38 percent of those interested in sports betting worldwide made online bets on sports at least once a week, with 18 percent doing so three to four times a week. Meanwhile, 11 percent of those who cited an interest in sports betting had not placed a bet in the last six months. In terms of individual markets, Italy had the highest share of individuals who had made an online sports bet in the last six months, with 93 percent.
