According to a survey of global consumers conducted in December 2023, SMS and text messages were the most popular method for communication with friends and family. Almost a third of respondents reported preferring mobile phone calls. In comparison, only eight percent of respondents reported making video calls, while audio messages and voice notes were used by around four percent of respondents.
