Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder is based on a response to the question, “Has a doctor or other health professional
ever told you that [sample child] had Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD or Attention-Deficit Disorder or ADD?”
FPL is federal poverty level, which is based on the ratio of the family’s income in the previous calendar year to the appropriate poverty threshold defined
by the U.S. Census Bureau.
