In 2022, around 97 percent of hospitals and polyclinics in Ghana had the capacity to perform minor surgical procedures. However, the capacity for major surgery was slightly less, with 84 percent availability. In the same year, approximately 93 percent of all hospitals and polyclinics in the country had emergency services available.
