In 2024, the Challenge Cup Final was contested by Warrington Wolves and the victors Wigan Warriors, attracting a crowd of 64,845. This was the largest crowd the fixture had drawn since 2017 when it exceeded 68 thousand. Since 1996, the Challenge Cup Final with the highest attendance came in the 2010 final between Warrington Wolves and Leeds Rhinos, which the Wire won 30 points to six.

Traditionally, the Challenge Cup Final is held at Wembley Stadium in London. However, between 1996 and 2022, the final was also held intermittently at other venues in the British capital - Twickenham and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - as well as Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
