In a survey conducted during financial year 2023, it was found that 65 percent of the women were self-employed, a significant increase from the last survey round in fiscal year 2019. Out of the total self-employed, 38 percent were helpers in the household enterprise. This category usually relates to unpaid workers helping in family enterprises.
