The incumbent president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, was the winner of the election held in the country between March 15 and 17, 2024, having received 87.29 percent of the votes as of March 18, 2024, after 99.76 percent of the ballots were counted. Nikolay Kharitonov from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, received the second-largest share of the votes, at 4.3 percent.
