During an early 2024 survey among adults in the United States, nearly one-third (or 32 percent) of respondents stated that using Generation Z and/or Alpha slang terms in advertisements affected their feelings about the advertised brand or product more likely negatively. On the other hand, 11 percent of the interviewees perceived the use of such terms in ads positively.
