As of the second half of 2022, approximately 44.8 percent of cybercrime incidents worldwide occurred through the compromise of valid accounts, while 20.7 percent were attributed to the exploitation of public-facing applications. Moreover, 17.2 percent of cyber incidents stemmed from external remote services being exploited.
