In 2022, zakat and sadaqah from the UNHCR's Refugee Zakat fund was distributed to nearly 440,000 Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. During the same period, 114,000 IDPs in Yemen received zakat assistance from the fund, and approximately 15,000 received assistance from the fund through sadaqah contributions. Overall, a lot more refugees were assisted through zakat donations from the fund than sadaqah donations.
