In 2022, approximately 47 percent of zakat contributions made to the UNHCR's Refugee Zakat Fund were allocated for Yemen. Approximately 33 percent was allocated to Jordan, which was the second highest share during the period. At the same time, Algeria, Iran, Malaysia, Iraq, and Mauritania each received less than one percent of contributions from the fund.
