In 2022, approximately 1.6 million people worldwide received assistance through the UNHCR's Refugee Zakat Fund. This figure included refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and members of the host country. Roughly 84,000 more people received sadaqah contributions from the fund than zakat during the period.
