Refugee beneficiaries of sadaqah worldwide 2022, by country

In 2022, approximately 840 thousand people worldwide received assistance through the UNHCR's Refugee Zakat Fund. This figure includes refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and members of the host country. Nearly 317 thousand people received sadaqah contributions from the fund based on place of most need. The second highest number of people assisted through the fund were those affected by the Ukraine situation, at roughly 204 thousand.
