Refugee beneficiaries of zakat worldwide 2022, by country

In 2022, roughly 756 thousand refugees, and internally displaced persons (IDPs) worldwide received assistance through the UNHCR's Refugee Zakat Fund. Bangladesh had nearly 418,000 refugees who received zakat donations, whereas Yemen had the highest number of IDPs who received zakat contributions at 114,000. During the same period, 20 refugees in Mauritania received zakat donations, which was the least worldwide.
